Our B&H smartphones in schools survey results are in!

We are delighted to share the results and full report.

๐Ÿ™ Thank you again to everyone who completed it in February.

We had a fantastic 2,666 responses:

  • 81% would support a fully smartphone free policy at their school (rising to 91% if you just consider primary school parents)
  • 68% said a fully smartphone free policy would make them more likely to choose that school.

โš ๏ธ Our report highlights that far too many children in the city are experiencing serious safeguarding harms via smartphones.

โš ๏ธ One child's smartphone poses risk to all the children around them in school and on the journey to and from school.ย

๐Ÿ“ต We are urging all schools in the city to introduce fully smartphone free (brick phone only)ย policies.

๐Ÿค We believe that this, in the same week as the government announcement that guidance around smartphones in schools will now become statutory, is a watershed moment in our city.

๐Ÿ“ง Please contact your school's headteacher to ask if they have read the report and if they will be reviewing their policy before the new school year.

As ever, if you have any questions, get in touch!
